Welcome
This is where I'm going to try hosting (some of) my TTRPG notes for ongoing or previous campaigns to allow me to share with my tables.
Still kind of figuring out the organization of it all and processing my old notes into Obsidian. Not really sure this is going to be of interest to anyone else but I just wanted to try the publishing to somewhere and also have been curious about actually using Neocities so here we are.
Campaigns
Ongoing
September 2023-present
Pagemaster is being run by Alyssa for our group of fresh Librarians based on the movie from the 80s.
Playing: Thistle
May 2019-present
Occupation is run by Els and is an entirely homebrew universe where demons are oily, telepathic parasite creatures who are taking over creatures and people. The FRGS are attempting to stop the spread and find out the root cause of this ancient plague and making many friends (and adding to their menagerie) with soup along the way.
Playing: Glyph
April 2022-presentish
Wanderhome is run irregularly. I wanted to run a session for it for my birthday in 2022, and after that session some people enjoyed playing and we occasionally run a session together. The way we play... not a lot tends to get done, but we have fun creating locations and NPCs and using Aggie.io to create group doodles.
Playing: Setira, Sydney
Completed
August 2021-August 2023
Daggerfall was Ellie's project to create the Elder Scrolls game as a D&D campaign. It largely followed the video game, sans some bugs and odd decisions made by the players.
Played: Aksinia Nya
June 2020-July 2021
Tears of the Void started after D&D- Valios got shelved due to the pandemic by Lisa. Since it started from local players, the DM wanted to create a homebrew setting based on our location and came up with a prairie-mountain setting with small towns and fire hazards.
Played: Eclipse
October 2016-February 2018
Mouse Guard was the first TTRPG I played which followed the storyline of the original comics... mostly. With TTRPG shenanigans. Run by Cosmic. The same group ended up doing the West Marches campaign with more potential players in the pool, but I did not really get very involved with that iteration.
Played: Sorrel
September 2020-April 2021
Ashes of the Sea was a short campaign I ran as one of my first campaigns because I wanted to try out the Numenera/Cypher system. It was running simultaneously to Waterdeep and running both really gave me some interesting contrasts of the benefits and drawbacks of the systems. I knew I didn't want to run this one long term and neither did some of the players, though it did stretch from a 'oneshot' to a few months of sessions.
Shelved
March 2021-October 2021
Humblewood was a game I joined from Reddit using the Humblewood setting. I had hoped at the time to find an in-person game, but we ended up with some distant players so it was actually all online while I played. Unfortunately, I left the game due to mismatch in table expectations that was just making it not that fun for me to play in.
Played: Sydney
September 2018-January 2020
D&D- Valios was the first D&D game I played joining some people advertising on Reddit, and unlike most of the others listed here, it was using 3.5e. The campaign was a homebrew universe created by the DM that was rich with intrigue, though the game petered out due to the pandemic, and I chose not to keep in contact with most of the other players, though one of the other players started the online game Tears of the Void and that group is still one I play with today.
Played: Kahurangi
Second iteration of the Mouse Guard campaign, started a couple years after the first campaign ended, intended to be more of a West Marches style game. There were many more players involved, but while I created a character I never got a chance to play due to the times the games got scheduled.
Unplayed: Wynn
January 2021-May 2022
Dual Duel was/is a game run by a long-term friend of mine in a homebrew universe that was dealing with people unwillingly being sucked through portals. This game also petered out with the ongoing pandemic, and I'm not sure it'll start up again.
Played: Discussion, Lemon Whiskeytart
Early-year-to-Summer 2020
First game I tried to DM that was just me and one of my friends that I'd also played Mouse Guard with. They created their mouse as a D&D character and I created mine as a bit of a DMPC to help balance the fights. We didn't finish the campaign, but it was fun and a learning experience.
October 2020-March 2021
My attempt at running Waterdeep which did not go so well. I really liked the setting and was really hoping to run a game that was more complex, but honestly not the best thing to start out with. It was a struggle to keep all the information straight and prep for it felt long and intense compared to Ashes of the Sea that I was running at the same time, and the actual sessions felt a bit frustrating as I was struggling with keeping the story moving while trying not to railroad the players. The intent was to return to it eventually, but at this point I think it is just a failed attempt.
Planning
Something that is taking me far too long to try to put together, but I wanted to try to run a BitD session to see how the system works.
Publishing to Neocities from Obsidian using the Digital Garden plugin.
