Session 14-Fantasy's Grudges
Summary
You managed to talk Fantasy down, and she told you her Written Realms were being drained due to something "the elf" did, and she blamed all new librarians (especially YA) for this disaster. She showed you a group of characters she had rescued, and walked Thashallot and Rollie into the Written Realms. Gouda and Thistle used the purple crystals to enter, and each received a small papercut on their hands, and again when leaving. YA's piece of crystal was too small to use, so she stayed behind to have her pages read but also had items stolen by a lightning fairy. The Written Realms were chaotic with everyone except yourselves and Fantasy being swept into Rapunzel's tower where another amulet of Gargauth was floating above a red rune. Thistle flew up and dislodged the amulet with an arrow, breaking the enchantment. Gouda and Rollie held on to several Nac Mac Feegle to keep them safe. While Fantasy calmed everyone down, you explored a gingerbread cottage, a wishing well, and a crystal cave where you found another of Jewel's purple crystals, some signs of past habitation (fire pit, shuffled rocks) within the past year. You also found and opened a treasure chest of goodies. The citizens of the Written Realms were still in shock but thankful for your efforts, as was Fantasy, who instructed her lightning fairies to return what they stole. In the pile you found multiple library cards (two in particular for Lexington of New York, and Virramel of Bothsbane stood out to you), book cards, a portrait of 2 elves, and another coded journal page.
Notes
- Gouda and Thistle managed to calm Fantasy down enough to allow us to try to help so she took Shallot and Rollie through to the Written Realms
- Thistle & Gouda used the crystals (gave them papercuts)
- YA tried to, but she just had a sliver and it did not work
- In the Written Realms all the creatures were being sucked into Rapunzel's tower
- Rollie & Gouda tried to save a few, and managed to keep some of the Wee Free Men from being sucked in
- Thistle flew up, managing to dodge through some debris flying around, and peer through the window of the tower, seeing another amulet on the ground in the sigil
- shot the amulet and that disrupted the sigil-- none of us were hit by anything flying out of it
- Thistle figured out the creatures were probably still in the amulet, stored in it like a battery
- couldn't quite figure out how to get anything else out of it right now, Fantasy wasn't sure, and we didn't want to try destroying it somehow in case that just destroys the
- we poked around a little, seemed to be a little gingerbread house, but seemed like it probably had been used by one of the characters previously, not like someone had been squatting there
- while the rest of us were in the Written Realms, YA tried to get one of the characters to read her, but Sam wasn't pleased with the way she asked so she ended up asking Shallan instead-- did not quite earn an HP point back though since it was not quite an hour of reading
- found another cave of crystals and Thistle managed to find another teleportation crystal so we'll be able to have three people transport themselves
- Shallot found an encrusted chest and when she opened it, there were some interesting objects in it like the Thread of the Labyrinth, 25g, and some gems
- Rollie picked up some smaller crystals as a souvenir since he was really enjoying the shiny cave
- Back in Fantasy's section, Thistle found his book and it turned out to be a very boring beginning bard book that will just potentially stun people in the radius when it's opened
- YA told us that her library card had been stolen and asked us to help get it back
- Shallot convinced Fantasy to return it and the lightning fairies just started dumping all the papers in front of us including many library cards for some people like Crinkle, one for Virramel revealing her surname and prompting Shallot to realize she knew about Virramel's village
- Library card for Lexington of New York-- seems familiar to Thistle, can almost but not quite put a face to the name
- We may want to poke around a bit more before we leave to see if we can find any additional clues, but Fantasy suggested we talk to The Pagemaster about how to get the people and things out of the amulet
Library Fantasy Section
Written Realms (most of them got sucked into the amulet)
Some of the other papers that the lightning fairies dropped off
Can't read the note it's in some kind of code.
Metadata
